Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic New Product Introduction (NPI) Materials Manager to lead the materials and supplier requirements for NPI projects. As a key member of the Global Operations NPI team, this role will ensure that all Procurement deliverables are met, playing a crucial role in the successful launch of new products. In close collaboration with NPI Program Managers, this role will oversee the Procurement of goods and services for development programs, ensuring that materials are available on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Leveraging strong leadership abilities and deep NPI expertise, this role will drive cross-functional coordination and foster collaboration across disciplines to achieve project goals. This role offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on product success and company growth by shaping supply chain strategies for groundbreaking innovations.
Responsibilities
Ensure supplier and material readiness throughout the NPI cycle, order management, and expediting as needed. Forecast and PO Quantity will be finalized by Project Team. Drive risk mitigation strategies for sourcing, manage shortages, and resolve delivery issues with contract manufacturers and suppliers. Partner with sourcing and stakeholders on supplier selection, cost basis, early engagement, price negotiations, and establishing LTAs; support BOM structure, lead-time management, and replenishment methods for NPI projects. Manage materials leadership for multiple NPI programs, ensuring timely delivery of components and alignment with project timelines. Oversee procurement processes for change management (ECR + ECO) and own materials deliverables for manufacturing readiness, including tooling, capital equipment, and supplier selection in collaboration with the Sourcing Team. Communicate effectively with program teams, providing timely updates on materials actions, schedules, and procurement requirements. Monitor and report on project progress, collaborating with stakeholders on corrective actions to address supplier issues and ensure continuous alignment with project goals
Required Knowledge and Skills
Extensive experience with EMS providers, electromechanical systems, and complex systems, with a solid understanding of manufacturing readiness and DFM principles Minimum 5 years working with SAP and electronic Document Control Systems, with expertise in supplier sourcing, price negotiations, and establishing LTAs Strong cross-functional collaboration skills; ability to manage and prioritize multiple efforts in a dynamic environment while maintaining a focus on continuous improvement Demonstrated problem-solving abilities, with proficiency in MS Office, project management tools (e.g., MS Project), and Requirements Management (including change configuration, traceability, and validation) Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with a commitment to ethical standards, adaptability, and alignment with organizational goals
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years relevant experience or 10+ years relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications
APICS or ISM Certificate Solid understanding of current commodity trends, markets, and price indexing, with in-depth knowledge of Domestic and International commodity suppliers Expertise in supplier sourcing and selection, early supplier engagement, price negotiations, and establishing LTAs
Work Conditions
Hybrid Must reside near Omnicell’s Milpitas factory in California Working across time zones <20% travel

Base compensation salary range: $95,760- $171,000
