JOB SUMMARY
The New Product Introduction (NPI) Project Manager, working within the PMO Team, is responsible for supporting and leading medium to high complexity projects and initiatives. They apply project management methodology to align with the company and group’s strategy. Their role involves managing projects throughout the NPI project lifecycle, from concept to launch. This includes developing Statements of Work (SOW), business proposals, functional requirements, project plans with milestones, and implementation plans. Additionally, they provide management and guidance to facilitate successful collaboration with multi-functional groups and the direct project team responsible for implementing Jabil’s strategies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND END RESULTS
In the first six months:
Support in defining concise goals and objectives within a group project framework
Ensure all project requirements and/or objectives are correctly gathered, understood, and properly translated for execution
Support in defining and recognizing project Key Performance Indicators and manage the work within scope, quality, time and cost constraints
Support in conducting project risk reviews and appropriate mitigation
Facilitate communication as appropriate to all involved and "manage" the stakeholders, including the escalation of issues to the next level of management
Utilize tools to track changes and identify risk and cost impact for review with senior management
Provide feedback to project team and leaders on concerns or issues and provide updates on project progress
Clarify and communicates project objectives and success criteria
Ensure all sensitive and confidential information is handled appropriately
Builds and structures integrated teams to ensure maximum performance by providing direction and motivation
Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor
Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy
After six months training and coaching:
Develops and owns project plan, establishing a road map with clear dates and clear deliverables
Drive the wider team to continuously improve in key operational metrics to achieve the project & organizational goals
Identify creative ways to implement corrective actions in cost effective manner
Understand and exceed customer (internal or external) needs and expectations, and project success
Accountable for overall project success - including cost, schedule, quality, and scope management
Ability to drive multi-functional teams to achieve company and/or customer objectives
Identify and prepare proposals that close gaps and mitigate risk
May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work with cross functional teams
Strong planning & organizational skills and high attention to detail
Proficiency in the English language is a requirement and eligibility to work in Ireland
Proven ability to meet deadlines
A “can do” work ethic with excellent problem-solving skills
Strong technical background (mechanical or electronic engineering); able to understand engineering drawings, process flows and concepts
Proficiency in Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and an ability to quickly master in-house systems
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Essential criteria
Bachelor’s degree required (may substitute education in lieu of experience)
Minimum of 5 years of experience with a minimum of 1 year experience leading projects or multiple projects simultaneously
Previous experience defining, developing and implementing plans contribute to the overall company and group strategies
Able to read engineering drawings and Bill of Materials (BOMs) to provide analysis for engineering and materials groups
Advanced computing skills and previous experience with SAP is highly advantageous
Able to work at the Jabil premises daily
Desired criteria
Experience in an electronic manufacturing environment
Experience in leading process improvements / lean manufacturing activities in a manufacturing environment is advantageous
Desired experience in a management or supervisory role
Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2 certification or equivalent
Lean and Agile training or experience
