As a NPI Sourcing Buyer, you will manage EMAT Short Tool Sourcing responsibilities to achieve accelerated build times.
As a NPI Sourcing Buyer, you will be responsible for:
Being the primary contact between Suppliers and Engineering team to coordinate and manage prototypes and final design builds.Communicating supplier processes, test, and quality control methods to ensure manufacturability of PPS designs.Collaborating with Engineering to manage supplier first piece qualifications and oversee production build milestones.Ensuring the most cost effective and efficient inflow of materials and services through the application of purchasing best practice in accordance with Baker Hughes operating principles.Engaging with suppliers to develop rapid prototype capabilities.Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers and key stakeholders, managing problems and scheduling changes.Providing Business Review updates regarding supplier manufacturing build milestones and maintain project trackers.Ensuring Original Equipment Manufacturer part maturity and obsolescence is assessed by Engineering during design phase.Issuing Purchase Orders and manage supplier delivery throughout supplier manufacturing build process.Facilitating supplier build design reviews with Engineering team to identify Design for Manufacturing opportunities.Establishing and maintain KPI's of project progress.Verifying measurements of critical mechanical supplier builds to ensure zero defects at the tool assembly stage.Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will require:
Have Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college OR a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Buying/ProcurementHave additional years of relative experience in Electronics or Mechanical parts within the oil and gas industryHave experience working in a hands-on/mechanical and test environmentHave previous experience working with suppliers and contracts (e.g. negotiations, adjustments, modifications, etc...)Have experience in Supply Chain, Engineering, or Operations.Work in a way that works for you
