Job Description

Our New Product Introduction team is seeking a dynamic NPI Test Developer to join our team responsible for delivering automated calibration and verification solutions for our optical portfolio. The ideal candidate will be a highly technical, data-driven problem solver, capable of debugging both hardware and software-related issues. They will be required to concisely and clearly describe their work to various teams such as designers, product engineers, contract manufacturers, and operators.

ResponsibilitiesSupport the R&D team with test tools during prototype developmentDevelop tests for platforms created by the R&D teamInteract with contract manufacturers to deploy products on a large scaleDevelop and write automation tests to support new and existing production linesDevelop for scale and increase test volumesAnalyze production statistics to improve test time and yields as production scalesSupport failure analysis, root cause identification, and corrective action implementation for components, sub-systems, and field failuresRequired Skills5+ years of experience in hardware and software testing2+ years of test automation software development experience in C#, MATLAB, or PythonExperience with test development, test automation, and hardware testingPrior experience testing optical productsAdditional Assets:Experience using optical test equipmentGood understanding of statistics in a production environment (CPk analysis, paretos)Experience using optical and radio frequency (RF) test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, power meters, and attenuatorsExperience in offshore production and debug managementExperience using source control tools such as gitExperience using the Atlassian suite of tools (Bitbucket/Sourcetree/Jira/Confluence)Team player with effective collaboration skills with cross-functional teamsReliable and able to work in a fast-paced environmentSelf-motivated, well-organized, and willing to learnAssertive with the ability to drive contract manufacturer engineers/techniciansExcellent written and verbal communication skills; fluent English requiredFluency in oral and written French is highly desirableWork Environment

This is a hybrid role with 3-5 days onsite per week, while software tasks can be completed from home.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $60.00
