Support NRD recruiting efforts in assigned recruiting district to obtain qualified NSW/NSO/AIRR applicants. Provide first hand mentorship to NSW/NSO candidates in three critical areas: (1) increased awareness and enhanced physical standards for NSW/NSO programs, (2) increased NSW/NSO program knowledge for candidates, and (3) understanding of NSW/NSO values and ethos.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide direct support to the Enlisted Programs Officer (EPO) by screening NSW/NSO/AIRR candidates in the Delayed Entry Program (DEP), and providing feedback to both the CNRC Program Manager and corresponding Community Managers. Be responsible for delivering qualified recruits to Basic Underwater Demolition /SEAL (BUD/S), SWCC, EOD, and Navy Diver schools via RTC by working closely with recruiters to maximize the SEAL/SWCC/EOD/Diver candidate's potential. Conduct NSW/NSO briefs at high schools, sporting events, or other targeted NSW/NSO events for the purpose of obtaining referrals to NSW/NSO or other Navy programs. Work together with the Navy Recruiting District NSW/NSO Coordinator (military) to perform all aspects of testing. This includes explaining and performing all aspects of the PST. Organize, collect, analyze and present information related to the tracking of enlisted NSW/NSO/AIRR applicants using MILITAPS software. Serve as the subject matter expert and direct liaison between CNRC NSW/NSO Program Manager and NRDs. Increase awareness of PST standards to the NRD for NSW/NSO programs. Achieve Navy's goal of PST pass rate of 85% or better. Reduce "Volunteer Drops" in the NSW/NSO programs at RTC to the Navy's goal of 10% or less. Prepare monthly calendar, timesheets, travel requests, and expense reports utilizing MS Word and Excel programs. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalent is required. One year of prior experience as a SEAL, SWCC, EOD, AIRR or Diver required. Past experience in leadership and operational positions while on active duty preferred. Must have honorable discharge from the US Navy. Familiarity with internet navigation and MS Office. Must be able to explain and perform all aspects of the PST (running, swimming, sit-ups, push-ups and pull-ups). Shall possess and maintain a valid driver's license throughout period of contract. Must meet HT/WT requirements set forth in OPNAVINST 6110.1H (Physical Readiness Program). Must also maintain a high degree of personal fitness as exemplified by a "lifestyle of fitness", and lead by example. Effective oral and written communication skills with all levels of the organization. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and multiple priorities to completion. Problem solving skills with an analytical thought process. Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work is typically based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Business work hours are Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm, however, some extended or weekend hours may be required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

May be required to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 25 lbs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching and bending throughout the workday.
