What You'll Do Coordinates the planning, monitoring, configuration control, modeling analysis, and reporting for all Y-12 Nuclear Material. Provides Production Operations, Quality Operations and Program Managers with strategic and tactical planning tools to ensure work scope and deliverables are on track and within compliance of requirements.  Provides the tools and systems necessary to effectively and proactively manage, control, and report on nuclear material plans. Ensuring that the life cycle management of enriched uranium are in place to ensure that the programmatic goals are met by adhering to DOE Order 410.2; Ensuring tactical and strategic raw material supply is available to support Programmatic deliverables by the use of material models. Ensuring material models align with material allotment requirements Ensuring use of tactical and strategic models exist to confirm both warehouse and interim storage exists to support all Programmatic deliverables. Ensure that the life cycle management of the Nuclear Material Storage program are in place to ensure that the programmatic goals are met  Ensure that the life cycle management of the CSMO program are in place to ensure that the programmatic goals are met Interpreting and applying of guidance issued by DOE HQ in order to execute DOE Order 410.2 requirements and deliverables  Periodically review and report ad-hoc requests for nuclear materials program support from personnel at Y-12, the NNSA Production Office, other NNSA sites, and DOE headquarters. Providing materials supply and demand analyses, integrating current processing plans with future technologies and processing methods.   Services include developing material plans, storage capacity models, facility load profiles for physical space, operational standards and estimates, and product yield factors.  Additional services include technical leadership for productivity improvement initiatives within PP&C organization and the metric suite that guides improvement initiatives for other organizations.  Coordinates, reviews, and/or approves specific production plans, capacity models, load profiles for labor and equipment, operational standards and estimates, product yield factors and schedules.  Analyzes performance and recommends corrective action or recovery plans when required.

The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Q clearance is required.

 

This position may require entry into the Material Access Areas (MAA) and participation in the Human Reliability Program (10 C.F.R. Part 712), which requires successful competition of a DOE counterintelligence evaluation and may include a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination.
