Responsibilities
Perform a wide range of nuclear medicine procedures, including bone scans, PET scans, SPECT scans, and thyroid uptake studies.Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients according to established protocols.Operate and maintain nuclear medicine imaging equipment, ensuring optimal image quality and patient safety.Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.Maintain accurate and complete patient records.Participate in quality assurance programs and continuing education activities.
Qualifications
More than one (1) year previous experience as a nuclear medicine technicianCurrent on continuing education units required by the licensing boardsDemonstrates knowledge of Nuclear Medicine procedures in vivo and in vitro Radiopharmacy-dose calibration and calculations bio-routing of labeled products computers and some computer processing.Special training in Nuclear MedicineCalifornia Nuclear Medicine Technician certification (CT NMT)Current AHA CPR card (CT CPR BLS)
