Our full range of medical services includes trauma services heart and vascular care emergency services surgery maternity cancer care and diagnostic imaging.

We are a growing department in Theranostics, PET, and general diagnostics!

We’re looking for a hard working teammate who is excited to make a difference in the lives of patients. 

We are continuing to invest in our molecular medicine department by bringing a new PET scanner to our facility.

Responsibilities

$10,000 sign-on bonus and $10,000 educational assistance available to external candidates!

Proper assessment of the patient and their abilities to participate in ordered procedures. Provides a clear explanation of the procedure including; duration, process, and what to expect following completionSelection of the proper equipment, setting correct technical factors, procedure protocols and gathers proper supplies prior to performance of the procedureObtains clear and complete history from the patient and or patient record and records that data into patient record to assist in image interpretation and future patient encounters Is able to perform quality assessment of images obtained and is able to evaluate equipment issues and reports assessment to supervisor, manager or directorEnsures all equipment is in working order at the beginning of the day and prior to starting of a procedureIs responsible to participate in and have a good understanding of all department, campus and system quality improvement projects, the ACR accreditation process, Radiation Safety, ALARA, MQSA, and State Regulations as they apply to staffs license or certifications
Qualifications

Education

Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine Program

License and Certification

BLS from the American Heart AssociationCertification by the American Registry of Technologists in Nuclear Medicine, the American Board of Nuclear Medicine, the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board or the American Society of Clinical PathologistsMust hold a valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist License if working in the state of Iowa or Nebraska

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Understands methods and is capable of performing venipuncture as required for position Demonstrated ability to set and maintain multiple priorities in an environment with shifting priorities, while providing accurate deliverables in a timely fashionMust be self-motivated, and able to take ownership of projects/assignmentsMust be a team player with excellent follow-up and customer service skillsStrong interpersonal, verbal, and writing skillsInterpersonal skills in dealing with guests and team members
