Description Job Description: Nuclear Medicine Physicist Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Nuclear Medicine Physicist to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective use of radioactive materials and imaging equipment in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This position requires a strong experience in nuclear medicine physics, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient care and safety. Key Responsibilities: Radiation Safety: Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and safety standards related to the use of radioactive materials and radiation-producing equipment. Quality Assurance: Develop and implement quality assurance programs for nuclear medicine imaging systems, including PET, SPECT, and gamma cameras. Equipment Calibration: Perform routine calibration and maintenance of nuclear medicine equipment to ensure optimal performance and accuracy. Clinical Support: Provide technical expertise and support to physicians, technologists, and other healthcare professionals in the planning and execution of nuclear medicine procedures. Research and Development: Participate in research projects aimed at improving nuclear medicine techniques and technologies. Education and Training: Conduct training sessions for staff on radiation safety, equipment operation, and new developments in nuclear medicine. Regulatory Compliance: Prepare and maintain documentation required for regulatory compliance, including licenses, permits, and inspection reports. Qualifications: Education: Ph.D. or Master's degree in Medical Physics, Nuclear Medicine, or a related field. Certification: Board certification in Nuclear Medicine Physics or eligibility for certification. Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a clinical nuclear medicine setting. Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, and proficiency in the use of nuclear medicine imaging equipment and software. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with advanced imaging techniques and technologies. Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards in nuclear medicine. Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research and contribute to scientific publications.
