Shift: Day Shift
Pay Range: $27.77-29.62/hour plus up to a $15,000 sign-on bonus
Screening Process: Interview with the company and facility tour
Essential Job Duties:
Prepares radio pharmaceutical kits for administration
Has knowledge and takes appropriate radiation safety precautions when performing duties
Performs all Nuclear Medicine and Nuclear Cardiology examinations
Calculates and draws doses for each exam and injects patients
Performs and documents dose calibrator daily constancy
Evaluates image quality, seeks guidance from radiologist when necessary
Receives, checks, and surveys radio nuclear shipments daily
Performs quality control checks daily, e.g., calibrator, gamma cameras, uptake probe, etc., and monthly extrinsic floods and COR’s
Participates in departmental in-service and safety programs
Attends and participates in continuing education programs.
Orders supplies as needed including kits and isotopes
Disposes of used vials when radiation level reaches background
Has knowledge of NRC regulations
Capable of performing daily room surveys for radiations contamination with G-M Counter; documents results.
Demonstrates awareness of trigger limits and notifies appropriate personnel when limit has been exceeded.
Work/Education requirements:
Must be graduate of an AMA approved program for Nuclear Medicine Technology.
Must be registered in Nuclear Medicine by ARRT or by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board.
