Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Nuclear Medicine

Under the direction of the Department Director and Lead Technologist and in collaboration with the radiologists, cardiologists, other physicians, and the Area Physicist, the Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs diagnostic and therapeutic radionuclide-based procedures and related activities for all patients served (child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric) according to department and regulatory standards.  Serves as a customer service representative to patients, their families, the public, and the medical staff.  Participates in quality control and organizational improvement activities.  Participates in call schedule to meet staffing needs of the department.

Required Qualifications:

Coursework/Training Graduate of a program in nuclear medicine technology approved by the Committee on Allied Health Education & Accreditation of the American Medical Association. Upon hire: National Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board or National Registered Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology  Upon hire: California Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience as a hospital-based nuclear medicine technologist.
