Aspirus Rhinelander Hospital in Rhinelander, WI, is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team!

Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, the Nuclear Medicine Technologist administers radioactive materials in order to perform imaging and dynamic function studies necessary in order to aid physicians in diagnosis and treatment of illnesses. Prepares radioactive isotopes, operates Nuclear Imaging and performs a variety of nuclear tests. Complies with performance measures/activities to assure that patient/customer satisfaction results are consistently maintained. Complies with and participates in maintaining an environment which supports our philosophy, mission and values. 

Hours: Occasional hours during 7am - 3:30 pm as needed

Experience/Qualifications

Knowledge of nuclear medicine standards and practices normally acquired through graduation from a formal Nuclear Medicine program approved by ARRT or NMTCB.Minimum of one year clinical experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist necessary to enhance and develop skills.Previous supervisory experience beneficial.Possesses and maintains ARRT(N) or NMTCB at hire.Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire - All clinical personnel in identified job codes are required to maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) training through independent study, online manikin and knowledge testing. An acceptable training program is the Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider course from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross Professional Rescuer Program with AED. (See Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Training Policy).Knowledge of anatomy, physiology and nuclear techniques, procedures and equipment such as planar imaging, S.P.E.C.T. imaging, nuclear cardiology and computer processing.Demonstrates mature judgment and the ability to make appropriate decisions with a minimum of supervision.Maintains the highest degree of confidentiality with regard to the operation and interaction of the department and the hospital.
