As we continue to grow, we currently have a tremendous opportunity for a Travel Nuclear Medicine Technologist who is up for the challenge.
We are currently seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to work under the direction of a physician and perform a full range of nuclear imaging for our Mobile Cardiac Imaging Program. This is a 100% Travel opportunity within the Central region. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist would be reimbursed for all gas mileage incurred for travel, and hotel accommodations would be paid for by Cardiac Imaging, Inc., as well as per diem to cover food expenses.
Responsibilities Administers radiopharmaceuticals intravenously to detect or treat cardiac related diseases, using radioisotope equipment, under direction of a cardiologist. Calculates, measures and records radiation dosage or radiopharmaceuticals received, used, and disposed, using computer and following physician’s prescription. Ensures and maintains quality control in regard to patient care and equipment usage; performs checks on laboratory equipment, meters, and/or cameras; logs into system, follow appropriate procedures for addressing and documenting issues; maintains and calibrates radioisotope and laboratory equipment; send out for calibration as needed Disposes of radioactive materials and stores radiopharmaceuticals, following radiation safety procedures. Processes cardiac function studies, using computer. Prepares radiopharmaceuticals, adhering to safety standards that minimize radiation exposure to workers and patients. Records and processes results of procedures and explains test procedures and safety precautions to patients providing assistance during test procedures. Complete system/document backup at end of each scan day Document monthly supply inventory and submit to Corporate in a timely manner Communicates all issues to provider, Supervisor, and Corporate Office; Meets with RSO quarterly Ensure mobile unit is clean and orderly, all staff is appropriately attired and wearing personal dosimeter(s) Ensure all signage, licenses, Chemtrec, and ACR related documentation is up to date, received, signed and/or filed; ensure all paperwork is printed and available for monthly inspections Performs other related duties as required and assigned.Physical Demands:
