NextEra Energy Resources, LLC, a subsidiary of NextEra Energy Inc. is seeking Senior Reactor Operator (Initial Cold License class) at their Duane Arnold Energy Center. This single unit nuclear facility is located just outside Cedar Rapids, Iowa. License Class expects to start as early as December 2025 (onsite date prior to July 2025). These talented candidates have outstanding leadership skills, superior coaching abilities, strong communication and excellent personnel performance management and development skills. They also have superior organizational planning and execution skills, and an excellent detail-oriented technical aptitude in electronic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems. Not to mention, they have the ability to balance personnel and plant needs.

Job OverviewThis position requires participation in Cold License Class, a preparatory program for the job of Operations Unit Supervisor. Employees in this role must successfully complete the entire program. The successful candidate develops leadership, management, and technical skills to perform supervisory job responsibilities. Individuals partake in several training programs including the Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) training program, Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) SRO license exam, and the Control Room Supervisor Training program.
