Nuclear Pharmacy is responsible for providing radiopharmaceuticals and other drugs to medical care providers under highly regulated State and Federal guidelines may also consult with or advise physicians and nuclear medicine technologists on the safe and efficacious use of radioactive drugs for diagnosis and therapy

Schedule

Part Time 18 hours per week. The typical schedule is Saturday 01:30AM-10:30AM and Sunday 01:30AM-10:30AM. Candidate must be flexible to work different days, hours and schedules based on business need.

Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour

Responsibilities in this role

Under immediate direction of a qualified licensed Nuclear Staff Pharmacist, the Nuclear Pharmacy Apprentice assists with basic high-tech pharmacy services by preparing, dispensing, and distributing quality radiopharmaceuticals according to the rules and regulations of the State Board of Pharmacy. This role has responsibility for:

Assisting in preparing and dispensing radiopharmaceuticals in keeping with the prescription and Company, State and Federal regulationsAssisting in providing follow up service to the client or health care provider on an as needed basisAssisting in assaying medications to determine identity, purity and strengthAssisting in performing white blood cell labelingEntering data regarding daily elution, kit preparations, and incoming inventory into computerVerifying physical inventory with computer recordsMaintaining lab equipment by performing checks and tests on a regular basisPerforming other duties as required to insure a safe and efficient pharmacy operation

Qualifications

High school diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferredEnrollment in an accredited school of pharmacy2 years general work experience preferredCustomer service skillsAbility to lift up to 75 lbsMust be 18 years of age to use a company vehicle if needed
