Allied Universal has security jobs and are seeking to fill the position for a Nuclear Security Supervisor (SS)/Response Team Leader (RTL).The Nuclear Security Supervisor is responsible for supervising and evaluating the conduct and performance of the Security Leads and/or Security Officers in his/her assigned unit or team. He or she is qualified to perform the duties of the Central Alarm Station (CAS) or Secondary Alarm Station (SAS) operator. The Security Supervisor is responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations and facility and company policies, procedures, and/or guidelines. The Security Supervisor performs post inspections, assigns work to employees, issues weapons and equipment, and handles employee issues and concerns.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide supervision and work direction for security leads and/or security officersSupervise, observe, and evaluate the job performance of security leads and/or security officersConduct post inspectionsProvide training, coaching, and mentoring for security leads and/or security officersProvide counseling and discipline for identified deficiencies in security leads and/or security officers performanceAssist with hiring, promotion, and termination processes, as appropriateIssue weapons and equipment to security force membersConduct performance reviews for security leads and/or security officersReport any issues or concerns about the performance of security equipment, security leads and/or security officers to senior supervision or managementImplement proper compensatory measures in a timely mannerConduct shift briefing, as requiredReview paperwork generated during shift for accuracy and completeness and correct any discrepanciesEnsure that all inventories of security equipment are properly completedEnsure that security equipment testing is properly performedAs needed, perform as a Central Alarm Station (CAS) or Secondary Alarm Station (SAS) operatorAs needed, fill in for the Security Shift Supervisor (SSS), if certifiedMaintain the physical fitness requirements and range qualifications for a site Armed ResponderBASIC QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Formal Education, Licenses, and Certifications Required:Be at least 21 years of age with high school diploma or equivalentAs a condition of employment, employee must successfully complete a background investigation and a drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local lawsLicensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.Type and Length of Specific Experience Required:
At least six (6) months of successful service as a Nuclear Security Lead (preferred one (1) year). Knowledge and Skills Required:Be able to work scheduled twelve-hour shifts Be able to operate a radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors and surveillance equipment.
