Numerical Control (N/C) Programmer Location: Orlando, FL Duration: 10-11 Months Description: This position is for a CMM Programmer/Engineer who has experience programming Zeiss CMMs and using Calypso software. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Develops and reviews quality standards, methods, work instructions and procedures for the inspection of manufactured and procured parts. Develops CMM process including designing fixtures, determining probes, and programming the machines. Leads and / or participates on Material Review Boards, Failure Review Boards and other technical investigations. Identifies root cause of complex issues and ensures effective corrective / preventive action to improve processes. Develops and implements new inspection processes and automation methods. Utilizes lean initiatives to reduce waste and maintain continuous improvement. Makes the final decision on acceptability of product. Required Experience: Candidate Must have completed Zeiss Advanced Zeiss Classes/Training (NOT other company training) using Calypso Software. Must have 5 years experience in a Machine Shop. At least 1 year of experience with developing CMM processes including designing fixtures, determining probes, and programming the machines.
