Job Description
Job Title: Hotel Nurse
Job Overview:
As a Hotel Nurse, you will provide medical care and support to guests and staff members at the hotel. Your primary responsibilities will include administering first aid, managing minor illnesses and injuries, and ensuring the overall health and well-being of everyone on the premises.
Key Responsibilities:
- Medical Care: Provide first aid and basic medical treatment to guests and staff members for minor injuries and illnesses.
- Emergency Response: Administer emergency treatment for injuries or illnesses and arrange for further medical care if necessary.
- Health Assessments: Conduct health assessments and record patient symptoms, medical information, and changes in condition.
- Medication Administration: Administer medications or start intravenous fluids as needed, and document times and amounts.
- Health Education: Educate guests and staff on wellness practices, hygiene, and preventive measures.
- Referrals: Make referrals to hospitals or medical clinics for severe injuries or illnesses beyond the scope of practice.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient information, treatments, and medical interventions.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with hotel policies, health regulations, and safety standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with hotel management and other departments to address health-related concerns and promote a safe environment.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or a related field.
- Licensure: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Experience: Previous experience as a nurse, preferably in a hospitality or resort setting.
- Certifications: First Aid and CPR certifications.
- Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle medical emergencies calmly and efficiently.
- Excellent organizational and record-keeping abilities.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Proficiency in using medical equipment and administering treatments.
- Cultural sensitivity and ability to interact with diverse guests and staff.
