Support Guardian existing clients through educational and /or in-service activities.  As a clinical expert, develop and implement clinical and continuing educational programs, and provide state/industry required trainings offered by Guardian Pharmacy.

     Essential job functions (include the following):

Provide instruction on behalf of Guardian Pharmacy for roles such as Med Techs, C.M.A., or Proxy Caregivers according to the state regulations. Perform skills check off and testing to complete Med Tech, C.M.A. or Proxy Care Giver certification according to the state regulations.   Provide in-service training and orientation to facility staff regarding implementation process, survey process, medication administration, medication charting, risk management, performance improvement, etc. Maintain compliance and expertise regarding current health care and pharmacy industry standards of practice regulations, changes and clinical skills as needed to support customer needs. Serve as an information source regarding medication and Federal and State pharmacy regulations to facilities Educate nurses about problem areas within the facility and also in areas of staff interest. Actively participate in vaccine clinics offered by pharmacy as needed.   As needed in certain states, lead CPR certification classes.   Other essential functions and duties may be assigned as needed.

Education and/or Certifications:

Nursing Degree (RN) requiredActive State Nursing license requiredValid driver’s license and clean driving record
 

Skills and Qualifications:

5+ years of related experience (advanced degree may substitute for experience)Advanced computer skills; pharmacy operations system experience preferred/requiredAbility to work independently and deliver to deadlinesAbility to solve problems with minimal directionGreat attention to detail and accuracyAbility to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment working on multiple tasks simultaneously, while adhering to strict deadlinesQuality minded; motivated to seek out errors and inquire when something appears inaccurate

         Work Environment:

The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. Due to the collaborative nature of the business and the need to service customers, the employee must be able to interact effectively with others in an office environment, manage conflict, and handle stressful situations and deadlines. Ability to routinely travel within assigned territory, predominantly ground travel in state or throughout multi-state area based on client territory and business needs.Ability to work flexible hours.
