As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you’ll perform both basic and specialized nursing functions under the guidance of a licensed nurse, ensuring that every task is done in accordance with local policies and regulatory standards. You’ll collaborate closely with the healthcare team and custody officers to plan and implement care activities that truly make a difference. After completing your general orientation in medical-surgical and psychiatric patient care areas, you’ll float between units, ensuring that nursing staff is always available to provide the highest quality care. Your contributions will help maintain smooth, effective operations, directly impacting the well-being of individuals served. **Key Responsibilities** + **Vital Signs and Documentation** Obtain and record vital signs, including height and weight, and accurately document intake and output as ordered. Report any concerns or abnormal findings to the licensed nurse. + **Assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)** Assist patients with eating, bathing, dressing, toileting, and other ADLs, and document appropriate care notes. + **Medical Equipment Management** Ensure medical equipment is cleaned and stored appropriately after each use. Efficiently track medical supplies and equipment, disposing of expired items. + **Workflow Organization and Team Support** Organize and prioritize tasks to complete all duties and assist team members in patient care.
