Nurse Assistant Job, 8 hours Evening (3-11:30p) and some Day (7-3:30p) Shifts, IMCU Telemetry
Powers Health is hiring a Nurse Assistant for IMCU Telemetry to work evenings and daysat Community Hospital in Munster, IN.
The Intermediate Care North Unit is a 32-bed multidisciplinary 24-hour unit located on the third floor of the hospital. Patients over the age of twelve may be admitted to this unit, but the average age is 65. The most common types of patients admitted to IMCU North include patients with: ESRD patients (CAPD or Hemodialysis) either primary or secondary diagnosis, cardiac dysrhythmia, unstable angina, CAD, PVD, COPD, management of diabetes, CHF, general surgical patients requiring cardiac monitoring postoperatively. Possible scheduled shifts on Telemetry CH 2 Fl based on unit needs.
Nurse Assistant Roles and Responsibilities:
Performs various designated patient care activities necessary in caring for the personal needs, comfort and safety of the patient in accordance with Hospital Policy and Nursing Service Standards. Assists patients with ADLs, ambulation, mobility, positioning, turning and lifting while maintaining all Safety Patient Care Practices. Assists patients with transfers and discharges. Assists patients with nutritional needs ie passing and collecting food trays, feeding patients, providing fresh water every shift, assist with maintenance of special diets and between meal nourishment.Required Skills & Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalency preferred. One year direct patient care experience with successful completion of competency exam, completion of one semester of clinicals in nursing program or completion of nursing assistant certification required. CPR certification required. Completes annual skill validations as well as safety and infection control procedures.Your Extraordinary Career Starts Here
