**Position Highlights**

**We are seeking a highly adaptable compassionate Nurse Coordinator to join our team in Radiation Oncology.** **This is a flexible, per diem position ideal for nurses who thrive in a dynamic environment and can adjust to varying schedules based on the needs of the department.** Your ability to respond to the changing needs of the department with empathy and clinical expertise will be essential to our mission of delivering exceptional care. The Nurse Coordinator will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care.
**Overview**
**Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital** offers highly specialized surgical and medical services in an intimate environment and is known for outstanding patient care. With 64 private patient rooms, 14 operating rooms and four intensive care unit rooms, the facility was designed to provide a comforting environment that is innovative, efficient and centered on the patient experience. The campus features a park-like setting with landscaping and a walking path that winds through the grounds and connects to Millennium Park.
The Barnes Jewish West County Hospital Department of Radiation Oncology treats 25-40 patients daily. The department has an IX Varian linear accelerator and a Philips Brilliance large bore CT scanner. Physician coverage is from Washington University.
**Preferred Qualifications**
**Role Purpose**
Coordinates the health care of select patient populations/designated service across the continuum of care. Responsible for coordination of patient contact, patient education, prepares patient/family for procedure/test in collaboration with the healthcare team.
**Responsibilities**
+ Facilitates patient care by assessing and evaluating patient's physical, psychosocial and emotional needs.
+ Coordinates the delivery of safe and appropriate patient care governed by evidence-based clinical practice.
+ Monitors care and data to optimize patient outcomes.
+ Facilitate the education of patients and families. Acts as a resource to the health care team.
+ Ensures actions meet and support the overall goals of the business.
**Minimum Requirements**
**Education**
+ Nursing Diploma/Associate's - Nursing
**Experience**
+ 2-5 years
**Supervisor Experience**
+ No Experience
**Licenses & Certifications**
+ RN
**Preferred Requirements**

+ Bachelor's Degree - Nursing
