Nurse Educator – Emergency Services Trauma *Full-Time, Variable*

Nurse Educator in the Emergency Services Trauma Unit of Queen of the Valley Medical Center. This is a Full-Time, Variable Shift position.

A professional registered nurse responsible for the assessment of educational needs, clinical practice and the implementation of an organized educational program supporting the needs of bedside caregivers. Creates and implements educational programs which incorporate evaluation and growth of clinical competence, partnership with leaders to provide continuing development and mentorship for new and tenured caregivers. Uses the nursing process is develop, implement, and evaluate and respond to educational needs. Serves as a resource and professional practice role model. Demonstrates patient advocacy and nursing leadership.

Required qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing California Registered Nurse License upon hire National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire 3 years of experience in an acute healthcare setting 3 years in the specialty to which candidate is applying

Preferred qualifications:

Master's Degree in Nursing (or matriculation in accredited program). Nursing Professional Development Nurse Educator-Trauma Program: ACLS, TCAR, others--or willingness to obtain.
