Job Summary

\n

A Registered Nurse in Nursing Professional Development Generalist role uses expertise to enhance healthcare methods for learners. They improve patient outcomes and their own techniques.

\n

What You'll Do

\n\nYou will create and assess professional development programs aligned with current methodologies to promote ongoing learning.\nYou'll identify the needs of our staff, work closely with various teams, and modify educational material to suit those needs.\nYou will help implement education plans. You will create a positive environment to reach our goals.\nYou'll design and assess educational activities and projects. You'll engage team members and implement evidence-based content.\nUse reliable methods to evaluate program outcomes. Involve learners in evaluation and adjust material based on data collected.\nYou'll build relationships with various community education programs and weave ethics through all aspects of your educational practice.\n\n

What Will Make You Successful In The Role

\n\nFamiliarity with nursing practices, standards of patient care and procedures.\nComprehensive grasp of pertinent laws, regulations and standards set by accrediting agencies.\nKnowledgeable in the areas of health promotion, illness prevention, and healthcare terminology.\nA deep respect for medical and nursing ethics, and commitment to safeguarding patient confidentiality.\nAdaptable teaching skills that cater to diverse learning methods.\nExcellent communication skills with an aptitude for interacting with a varied group of people.\n\n

LOCATION/FACILITY:  Baylor University Medical Center, Dallas, Texas

\n

SPECIALITY/DEPARTMENT PRACTICE:  Oncology

\n

SHIFT/SCHEDULE:  Full time days, Monday-Friday with flexibility to work with night and weekend Staff

Qualifications

\n\nBachelor's Degree in a relevant field.\nAt least 2 years of pertinent experience is essential.\nRN license and BLS certification. If not BLS certified yet, they must obtain it within 30 days of hire.\n
