Nurse Leader – MSK Ambulatory Care Services (Commack & Hauppauge Outpatient)

 

Exciting Opportunity at MSK: Join our team as a Nurse Leader at one of our Long Island Ambulatory Outpatient centers. We're looking for a dynamic nursing professional eager to showcase leadership skills and make a meaningful impact on our team and in the lives of our patients and their families.

 

Position Overview:

Work in a highly collaborative interprofessional practice environment.Plan, direct and manage the clinical and operational functions of the ambulatory care services of Medical Oncology and Dermatology during all hours of operation.Provide clinical and administrative leadership for nursing staff by developing and implementing programs, services, procedures, and quality nursing standards to ensure exemplary care for patients undergoing treatment at MSK.Will play a pivotal role in offering transformational leadership by creating and sustaining a healthy work environment that supports, furthers, and promotes excellence in patient care, clinical nursing practice, and patient safety.

 

Key Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing required.New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license/registrationNational Certification is a plusA minimum of 5 years recent, related clinical experienceDemonstrated leadership skills

Core Skills:

Outstanding communication and self-awareness.Mentorship and coaching abilities to support nursing staff development.Critical thinking and problem-solving to optimize patient outcomes and operational efficiency.Adaptability and resilience to lead change and innovation.Collaboration and building trusting relationships.Understanding of financial principles, resource allocation, and cost management.

Additional Information:

Location: Covering both sites at Outpatient 650 Commack Road. Smithtown, NY and 800 Veterans Memorial Highway, Hauppauge NYSchedule: Day shift, Monday-Friday, with weekend rotationReporting to the Director Nursing (Ambulatory Services)

Pay Range: $146,100.00 - $241,100.00
