Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital, a member of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic is looking for a Manager to join the nursing leadership team on 1 Pavilion Med/Surg Unit.

The Manager is a Registered Nurse who is responsible and accountable for the coordination of all clinical activities and daily operations in both departments and works in conjunction with the staff to coordinate the care of all patients in the units. The Manager is responsible for all quality and safety outcomes and process improvement to create a "zero harm" culture. The Manager coordinates daily allocation of resources and promotes the development of work teams.

The Patient Care Manager (PCM) is a Registered Nurse who is responsible and accountable for the coordination of all clinical activities and daily operations on the nursing unit for a 24-hour period. He/she works in conjunction with the staff to coordinate the care of all patients on the unit. The PCM coordinates daily allocation of resources and promotes the development of work teams. He/she works under the guidance of the Director of Nursing.
Requirements
Master’s degree is required and may be in Nursing, a related health care field or Business Administration. One degree, either Bachelor's or Master's must be in Nursing. If currently pursuing and making steady progress toward completion of a master’s degree, completion must be within 12 months of hire.
• Registered Nurse licensed in the State of Pennsylvania
• Professional certification in specialty preferred
• Certified in BLS
• Certified in ACLS (ED/Critical Care PCM) and PALS (ED only) or within six months in position
Three (3) years experience in acute clinical nursing preferred; Previous leadership roles and experiences preferred.
