Treatment programs at Laurel Heights Hospital are structured for youth ages 6–17 who are dealing with general psychiatric difficulties and trauma. We also offer specialty mental health programs for children with co-occurring neurodevelopmental disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorders. The Nurse Manager role is a great position that allows you to remain close to the bedside but allows you to serve as a front-line nurse leader. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of patient care in this specialized field. In collaboration with the Nursing Director the Nurse Manager is responsible the leadership and management. The Nurse Manager fosters associate's commitment to improving quality and safety of patient care outcomes. This role offers the chance to direct and coordinate the nursing and patient care delivery of the unit-based professional. 1 years of experience in nursing leadership and behavioral health required. The role would be Monday-Friday with the possibility of weekend/off hour coverage to meet the needs of the hospital. Duties: Daily monitoring and review of patient admissions, incidents, and change of condition for process completion, appropriate treatment and/or interventions, updating of care plans, and educating staff on changes of condition and interventions Assist Director of Nursing will review current nursing practices and policy and assist with implementation Participates in Performance Improvement and assist with audits related to patient events, incidents, or practice deficiencies Resolve pending issues from the previous shift Compliance Audit Related to Infection Control, e.g., glucometer, refrigerator, sharps containers,hand washing and flu campaign. Med Room Audits,Medication storage, medication returns, medication destruction, calling pharmacy to resolve medication issues. Conduct code blue drills Admission and discharge audits. Check/audit the proper completion of any nursing procedure (at discretion of DON) to assure compliance. responsible for maintaining the daily scheduling of units according to approved ratios based on census. Collaborates with other departments and agencies regarding resources and services for quality patient care delivery.
