Job Details Nurse Manager Responsibilities : Responsible for overseeing Ambulatory Surgery/Day Op, PACU, and Cath Lab. Responsible and accountable for planning, directing, and evaluating patient care on a 24-hour basis. Plans for effective delivery of patient care, matching patient acuity with available resources. Interviews prospective staff in conjunction with the Clinical Director. Plans orientation and integration of new staff in conjunction with Nursing Education Department. Based on the established standards of nursing practice, the Nurse Manager will evaluate nursing personnel and the care provided. Facilitates attendance at In-service Education, Continuing Education, and Community Programs in order to foster individual growth and role expansion. Communicates with other departments to coordinate patient care using resources available. Establishes and maintains professional relationships with patients, families, medical staff, administration, support staff, educational affiliations, and other colleges. Provides care that reflects an understanding of individual cultural and religious diversities and needs as well as recognition of patient rights. Maintains professional development. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a supervisory capacity Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required Current New York State RN License required. BLS and ACLS certifications required. Salary Range USD $134,000.00 - USD $168,039.00 /Yr. This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
