Job Summary

\n

As Nursing Manager II Abdominal Transplant, you shape a positive team environment, ensure high-quality nursing practices, teamwork, and patient safety. You create plans, implement policies, manage resources, oversee finances, and manage quality improvement efforts. Arrange educational programs to meet goals and act as caregiver when needed.

\n

\n\nFormulate and communicate a clear vision for nursing practices within your area of responsibility.\nInvolve supervisory and other staff in setting and accomplishing departmental goals.\nContinually update your knowledge base with the latest evidence-backed clinical and leadership practices.\nFoster a healing and supportive environment for patients, families, and fellow staff members.\nRecognize development needs and facilitate educational opportunities for staff members.\nSet a positive example of professionalism within the nursing field and work atmosphere.\nIncorporate the organization's mission and goals into strategies for staff and patient care.\n\n

LOCATION:  Baylor University Medical Center, Dallas, Texas

\n

SPECIALTY/DEPARTMENT:  Abdominal Transplant

\n

SHIFT/SCHEDULE:  Full time days including working with the night and weekend shifts

\n

\n

Qualifications

\n\nBachelor's degree.\nA minimum of three years' professional experience is required for this role.\nRN licensed.\nYou also need Basic Life Support certification within the first 30 days on the job.\n\n

\n

PREFERRED:  Transplant Nursing experience

- CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION -
       Registered Nurse (RN)
       Basic Life Support (BLS): BLS or BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer.
