Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Service Line Director, manage the daily operations of clinical units. Supervise all non-provider staff within assigned units. Ensure effective and efficient patient flow and high standard of customer service. Implement operating policies and procedures required to deliver quality patient care, enhance practice volumes and appropriately manage operating costs as directed by leadership. Assist in management of financials for assigned practices. Implement plans for the provision of cost-effective, high quality health care services for new and existing patients.
Working with Service Line Director, s/he will implement Lean practices within his/her departments/sites; establish operational goals, objectives, develop and maintain Tier 1 balanced score boards, and take part in and engage his/her staff in problem solving and idea generation. Create an effective management relationship with Chief and Service Line Director to establish joint ownership of department. Collaborate with MDs, peers and staff to develop clinical unit improvements.
Education/Experience/Licenses/Technical/Other:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required, MSN preferred. Experience (Type & Length): 3 – 5 years experience in management of Physician Hematology/Oncology practice including ambulatory infusion clinic. OCN highly preferred. Certification/Licensure: BLS required Software/Hardware: Word and Excel skills required. Other: Demonstrated success with continuous improvement; experience working with Lean principles Proven ability to generate quality management reports and documents which clearly and concisely communicate information to physicians and management.
