This position will be located at our Regional Medical Center off I-184 and Curtis Rd.

A day in the life of a Nurse Manager:   

Leadership Role: Part of the nursing leadership team in a Level II Trauma Center and a Level I Comprehensive Stroke Center. 

Unique Opportunity: Oversee the FIRST and ONLY Neuro Surgical Trauma Unit in Idaho, providing critical care for high-acuity neuro and surgical trauma patients. 

Collaboration: Work with the only board-certified, fellowship-trained neuro critical care doctors in the state. 

Unit Management: Oversee 18 critical care beds and 17 step-down beds, ensuring effective operations. 

Strategic Oversight: Coordinate and supervise all aspects of the unit, including financial responsibility, departmental performance, and quality improvement initiatives. 

Daily Operations: Responsible for 24/7 oversight, including the implementation of strategies, policies, and action plans to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. 

Team Development: Mentor and manage nursing staff, setting performance expectations and facilitating professional growth. 

Resource Allocation: Use financial, human resources, and quality improvement skills to monitor, report, and adjust unit resources to meet operational goals. 

Collaboration and Planning: Assist in business planning, program growth, and development, in collaboration with senior management and medical staff. 

Stakeholder Relationships: Establish and maintain positive working relationships with all relevant customers, including patients, staff, and leadership. 

Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and guidelines. 

Strategic Contribution: Contribute to organizational strategic and tactical planning, aligning department goals with the broader mission of the health system.

About you: 

You currently hold an Idaho or multistate RN license 

If you have a multistate license you would need to establish residency with the Idaho Board of Nursing within 6 months of hire 

You have a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing 

A Master’s Degree in Nursing would be a plus 

You have five (5) years of nursing experience and ideally will have at least 2 years of supervisory experience 

You have your Basic Life Support 

You are willing to obtain your Advance Cardiovascular Life Support for HealthCare Provider (ACLS) certification within 6 months of hire and your Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 12 months of hire
