We are looking for an experienced Clinical Director of Nursing (RN) to work in Avon, Ohio at the Saint Therese/St. Mary of the Woods campus. This campus is a senior living community that offers a variety of housing options and levels of care, including independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing, short term rehabilitation and respite care.

Responsibilities:

The Nurse Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, staffing, administering and directing nursing services for licensed units. This position ensures that the facility is in compliance with government regulations. Demonstrates on-going assessments of resident's general condition and plan of care utilizing the nursing process. Manages and directs the facility staff to provide quality care, continuity of care and person-focused care. This position will supervise the state tested nursing assistants and staff nurses. 

Qualifications

Successful completion of an approved nursing program for Registered Nurses, preferably BSN Registered Nurse currently licensed in Ohio and in good standing. Any additional training with a focus on clinical management, system integration or gerontology is preferred. Active CPR certification

Experience: 

At least three years of successful nursing experience ina  long-term care environment; most which should be in a management role. Knowledge of legal and regulatory healthcare requirements of a skilled nursing environment.

Knowledge of the scope of the Minnesota Board of Nursing Nurse Practice Act. Demonstrated abilities to participate in and collaborate with groups. Ability to positively manage and communicate change and to model appropriate behaviors to staff and others.  High level of commitment to and success with effective customer service skills. Demonstrated leadership abilities. Effective time management/prioritization and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills. Working knowledge of personal computers and related software.
