The Nurse Practitioner/Clinical Nurse Specialist will provide direct service to patients of Advocates’ Behavioral Health (BH) Division and consult with other staff on the design of treatment plans, clinical problems, and related issues.

Minimum Education Required Master's Degree Responsibilities Provide medical and psychiatric service and consultation to patients of Advocates’ Behavioral Health (BH) Division.Provide teaching and consultation to other members of the multidisciplinary team and actively participate in the Quality Improvement process.Uphold and demonstrate adherence to existing policies and procedures concerning provided care and record documentation.Maintain open, collaborative and collegial relationships with other team members.Attend and actively participate in supervision and staff meetings.Attend trainings as assigned; maintain necessary certifications required by Advocates.Maintain valid CNS/NP certifications.Remain alert at all times throughout the scheduled shift.Follow agency and appropriate licensing policies regarding professional ethics and confidentiality.Attend and actively participate in supervision, teaming and clinical rounds with medical team.Ensure that clients are treated with dignity and respect in accordance with Advocates Human Rights Policy. Adhere to all Advocates Way principles. QualificationsNP or CNS received from an accredited school. Current state of MA registration in nursing and current, valid and unrestricted DEA certificate. Absence of Medicare/Medicaid sanctions, and satisfactory report from the National Practitioner Data Bank.Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus!Basic computer knowledge.High energy level, superior interpersonal skills and ability to function in a team atmosphere.Excellent written and verbal communication.Strongly prefer a candidate that will have a demonstrated understanding of and competence in serving culturally diverse populations.Commitment to Advocates values and mission.High energy level, superior interpersonal skills and ability to function in a team atmosphere.Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing and ability to use good judgment.Must hold a valid drivers’ license.
