Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Bilingual Nurse Practitioner to join our team and work in the urology departments of local hospitals. The successful candidate will conduct patient assessments, create personalized treatment plans, order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and educate and counsel patients on health promotion and disease prevention. Collaboration with physicians and healthcare professionals to manage patient care is essential, as well as maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation.
ResponsibilitiesConduct patient assessments and create personalized treatment plans.Order and interpret diagnostic tests.Prescribe medications.Educate and counsel patients on health promotion and disease prevention.Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to manage patient care.Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation.Manage overall patient care and devise individualized care plans.Set up and monitor medical equipment.Communicate test results to patients and their families.Essential SkillsMust be bilingual in Spanish and English.Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license.Master's degree in nursing from an accredited program.1-2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a primary care or urgent care setting.Current and unrestricted DEA and CDS.Current BLS certification.Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in urology is preferred but not required.Ability to work under the supervision of a licensed urology physician.Work Environment
The successful candidate will work for local hospitals (Christ Hospital, Bayonne Hospital, and Hudson Regional) in the urology departments. The position requires working first shift hours (8-4 or 9-5) with some flexibility for weekends. The role includes a 401K package, $1K per year reimbursement for continuing education or licensure, and 7 holidays off per year.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $130000.00
