Nurse Practitioner
**Position Overview:** The Oncology Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will be integral to enhancing patient care and optimizing the quality of services within the radiation oncology program. This role involves direct collaboration with healthcare teams to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of care across the oncology pathway, from diagnosis through treatment. The APP will provide clinical expertise, assist in quality improvement efforts, and strengthen relationships with referring healthcare providers to improve patient outcomes. **Key Responsibilities:** + **Collaborative Partnership:** Meet with leadership teams internally and externally, as needed, on a monthly basis to review and evaluate key performance metrics, including but not limited to: + Volume of screenings and imaging procedures (e.g., ultrasound, MRI) + Needle biopsies and surgeries + Data on referring physicians and their contributions + Timelines tracking of critical access points across the oncology care pathway (from diagnosis to treatment) + **Quality & Performance Improvement:** Assist in the development and implementation of key performance indicators (KPIs) for continuous improvement in patient care. + **Provider Relationships:** Work to foster and strengthen relationships with referring healthcare providers, enhancing communication and collaboration. + **Patient Navigation:** Support cancer patients by providing guidance through the oncology care pathway and helping them access necessary services. + **Committee Participation:** Actively participate in relevant committees and initiatives focused on improving oncology navigation and quality, including contributing to discussions on cancer incidence, statistical data, and benchmarks. + **Multidisciplinary Collaboration:** Engage in tumor boards and multidisciplinary meetings to contribute clinical insights and enhance collaborative decision-making in patient care. + **Additional Projects:** Provide support for various other projects as required to support the growth and success of the oncology program. + **Other Responsibilities:** This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
