Nurse Practitioner, Gastrointestinal
Position Purpose:
The APRN - NP Specialty provides primary or acute healthcare services for specialty health conditions in specific populations in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.
This position will primarily be responsible for inpatient care at Mount Carmel Dublin with occasional coverage at Mount Carmel Grove City.
Minimum Requirements:
Education: Masters required in Science, Nursing or Specialty field. Graduate of an Advanced Practitioner program.Licensure / Certification: Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of OhioCertified as an Advanced Practice Nurse in designated specialty required. American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) is preferredBLS provider certification requiredACLS, NRP, EFM and PALs required for some departments (see Exhibit A)Holds a DEA license for controlled substances or ability to obtain as requiredAll qualifications above are subject to grandfathering by the Ohio Board of Nursing.Experience: Gastrointestinal experience highly preferred.Effective Communication Skills*We will consider an experienced Physician Assistant as well.
