The base pay scale for this position is $146,288.95 - $162,038.95. In addition, this position will be eligible for additional benefits consistent with the role. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to: scope of role, level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation. The hiring range listed is a good faith determination of potential compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.What you will be doingAn Advanced Practice Nurse providing pain management care for post-operative patients. Applies the nursing process and synthesizes clinical findings that result in optimal goal achievement throughout the continuum of care. Integrates theory, research, and critical thinking in the delivery of care to patients/families and serves as a resource in complex patient and family situations. In accordance with NYS Educ. Law, Art 139.6902.3 (a) and (b): The practice of the advanced practice nurse, certified under section six thousand nine hundred ten of this article, may include the diagnosis of illness and physical conditions and the performance of therapeutic and corrective measures within a specialty area of practice, in collaboration with a licensed physician qualified to collaborate in the specialty involved, provided such services are performed in accordance with a written practice agreement and written practice protocols. Prescriptions for drugs, devices, and immunizing agents may be issued in accordance with the practice agreement and practice protocols.
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE PREFERRED
Three years of related experience as a Nurse Practitioner.
PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS
Continuously stand/walk or lift/handle/carry material or equipment of moderate weight. Continuously stand/walk or lift/handle/carry material or equipment of moderate weight (20 to 50 lbs). Examples: Nurses, LPNs, and Physical Therapists.
ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS
Indoor area with frequent exposure. Located in an indoor area with frequent exposure to mild physical discomfort from dust, fumes, temperature, and noise. Examples: patient care providers and laboratory technicians.
HAZARDS OSHA
OSHA Category 1. Tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids, tissues, and other potentially infectious materials.

Nurse Practitioner License, New York. Registered Nurse License, New York. BLS. Board Certified in area of practice and NY DEA License

SKILLS REQUIRED
Diagnosing and treating acute and chronic conditions. Ordering, performing and interpreting diagnostic tests such as lab work and x-rays. Prescribing medications and other treatments. Managing patients' overall care. Counseling. Educating patients on disease prevention and positive health and lifestyle choices.
