**How you make a difference**
The **Nurse Practitioner** or **Physician’s Assistant** plays a vital role in delivering comprehensive medical care, working under the guidance of clinical leadership or a primary care physician. This position ensures high-quality healthcare services by performing a full spectrum of medical duties in alignment with state regulations, facility policies, and established procedures. With a focus on excellence and compassionate care, this role contributes to the well-being and recovery of individuals served.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ **Medical Examinations and Treatment Planning** : Conducts admission and annual medical examinations, reevaluates ongoing cases, and coordinates treatment planning as necessary.
+ **Medical Services and Procedures** : Provides medical treatment, orders required studies, tests, and ancillary services, and performs minor surgical procedures within granted privileges.
+ **Documentation** : Accurately and promptly documents all services in the medical record using the facility-approved format.
+ **Participation in Meetings** : Attends healthcare employee meetings, continuous quality improvement meetings, infection control meetings, and other leadership-requested meetings.
+ **Medication Management** : Makes observations and submits non-formulary medication requests with appropriate documentation for clinical leader approval.
**Qualifications & Requirements**
**Education:**
+ Required: Master’s degree as Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program from an accredited University.
+ Required: Clinical rotations in primary care area as a requirement of graduation.
**Experience:**
+ Required: Prior relevant medical practice experience.
**Licenses/Certifications:**
+ Required: Current license in the state of practice.
+ Required: DEA registration.
