**Nurse Practitioner —Cardiovascular —PRN Days** _Our Cardiovascular service line is expanding and is in search of an Advanced Practice Provider for our inpatient CT and Vascular populations on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic team player who is highly organized with strong communication skills. The ability to function in a fast-paced environment is essential._ **LOCATION** : The address is **6200 W Parker Rd, Plano, TX 75093** **SCHEDULE:** PRN Days; Some weekend coverage. **Cardiovascular PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS** + Growing cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical programs + Primary Heart Attack Center + TAVR Program (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement) and growing Structural Heart program overall. + Vision to continue growth and development of our high acuity capabilities to care for all patients. **QUALIFICATIONS:** + BSN, Bachelor's Degree Graduate of an accredited nursing program Required. + MSN, Master's Degree Graduate of a Nurse Practitioner program Required + RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required + APRN - Advanced Practice Nurse Upon Hire Required + NP - Nurse Practitioner Upon Hire Required + 2 (Two) Years experience as a Nurse Practitioner + One (1) Years cardiac, thoracic, or vascular surgery patient experience **strongly preferred** + BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support Upon—prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly + ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support –Within 30 days of hire preferred **WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO DO:** + Utilizes principles and skills in communication and interviewing techniques in obtaining a comprehensive health history to formulate a plan of care and make decisions for appropriate therapeutic interventions. + Uses principles and skills in advanced health assessment for differentiating normal and abnormal findings. + Synthesizes knowledge of physiology, pathophysiology, culture, and socioeconomics to access, evaluate, and provide therapeutic interventions to patients. + Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to improve care processes in order to promote continuity of care + Initiates actions to meet patients/families **MORE ABOUT TEXAS HEALTH PLANO** Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano is a 386-bed, Magnet-designated hospital and a recognized clinical leader, providing technologically advanced care to Plano, Frisco and surrounding communities since 1991.
