Nurse Practitioner - Interventional Radiology
Description The NP functions in an interdependent role by implementing the appropriate 'standardized procedures' (SP). By using the SPs the NP is able to change treatment regimen after observing signs and symptoms of illness, reactions to treatment, general behavior and physical condition, and determines if they are abnormal findings (Ca Nursing Practice Act, subsection(b) of Section 2725). Provide and coordinate the care of Radiology patients, provide patient/family education, promote safe continuity of care. Participate in interdisciplinary and clinical rounds, provide education and support as well as make appropriate referrals. Document services rendered. Clinical role includes history and physical, evaluation of patients, ordering of imaging and labs, interpretation of labs, and performance of standardized procedures. Salary range NP2: $89.06-$127.19/hourly NP1 (less 6 mths NP exp): $80.34/hourly Qualifications + CA RN License + State of CA NP, State of CA NP Furnishing with Schedule II, National Certification in NP Specialty + MSN or DNP in NP Specialty + NPI#, DEA#, Enrollment in PECOS, Enrollment in CURES + BLS Certification from ARC or AHA + ACLS Certification from AHA + Ability to utilize excel, word and other software programs + Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and collaborative working relationships with administrative, clinical and academic personnel + Skill in working independently and following through with minimum direction + Ability to set priorities + Demonstrate writing skills to compose logical, detailed and grammatically correct correspondence + Document patient care in a concise and comprehensive manner + Minimum of 2 years as an NP- preferred. + Interventional Radiology work experience- preferred. + Will consider a NP1 only if has relevant clinical radiology experience- relevant radiology exp required. + NP1 (less 6 mths NP exp): $80.34/hourly UCLA Health welcomes all individuals, without regard to race, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, national origin or disabilities, and we proudly look to each person’s unique achievements and experiences to further set us apart.
