Position Summary
In this role you will work alongside the IR physicians performing procedures and evaluating inpatients and ambulatory patients requiring procedures such as CT guided biopsies, arterial embolization, vascular access placement, nephrostomy tube insertion, paracentesis, and thoracentesis.
You will play an integral role in optimizing patients for procedures, providing education to patients/families, and coordinating care within the department
We are seeking a candidate with strong procedural knowledge, excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
This is a Monday-Friday position with no on call time, holidays or weekend coverage.
Position Responsibilities
Key components of the role will include but are not limited to:
Performing and assisting with procedures, patient triage, pre-procedure history & physicals, obtaining informed consent, communication with referring services, and post procedural rounding.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience:
2+ years' experience as a Nurse Practitioner preferred
New Graduates will be considered if they have Acute Care and/or procedural nursing experience
Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program Current Nurse Practitioner License in New Jersey Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner (acute care preferred). High quality of nursing competence and advanced leadership skills.Certification/Licensure:
Current registration with NJ State Board of Nursing. Certified by nationally recognized nurse practitioner organization.
