Exciting Opportunity for Experienced Nurse Practitioners!

Job Title: Family Nurse Practitioner / Acute Care Nurse Practitioner

Location: Troy VA

Job Type: Locum Tenens

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 13 weeks with an option to extend

Schedule: Full Time, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Key Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive acute care and emergency medical care Manage a variety of cases and procedures in the infirmary Utilize paper charting for medical records Collaborate with a full supporting cast of RNs, Behavioral Health Therapists, Psychologists, and Physicians Perform suturing and other in-office procedures as needed Stabilize patients and coordinate transfers to local hospitals for serious conditions

Requirements:

Valid DEA and BLS certifications Ability to prescribe autonomously (no collaborative agreement required) VA State License (no licensure candidates) Minimum of 3 years of NP experience required for autonomous prescriptive authority

Additional Information:

Must have experience in critical care and comfortable working independently in the infirmary No on-call or callback duties Patient volume varies; more details will be provided upon request

Interview Process:

Phone interview On-site shadowing for orientation Onboarding requirements typically taking 2 to 3 weeks
