Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - General Orthopaedic
Overview:

Community Health Partners is seeking full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our rapidly expanding Orthopaedic service line. As a General Orthopaedic APP, you will be a critical component to the care of our Valley residents. You will be closely aligned with the burgeoning Community Health Partners orthopaedic team, dedicated to providing world-class, well-coordinated musculoskeletal healthcare in collaboration with our innovated and integrated physician network. This role also allows the opportunity to build your own practice, and includes a mix of OR and/or Clinical opportunities.

Responsibilities:

In this role, you will:

Coordinate a course of treatment for patients with a variety of musculoskeletal issuesCollaborate with an interdisciplinary team of nurses, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, dieticians, hospitalists, radiologists, pathologists and pharmacistsServe as an expert in the diagnosis and preoperative, operative and postoperative treatment of diseases and injuries of the musculoskeletal system.Qualifications:

Experience and Education Minimum Requirements:

Completion of a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program requiredCredentialed by the CMC Medical Staff Office as an Allied Health Professional and privileged to perform Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Standardized Procedures required2 years of clinical experience preferred.Orthopaedic clinical experience preferred.If qualifying as a Nurse Practitioner, the following is requiredNP - Current State of California Nurse Practitioner License requiredNPF - Nurse Practitioner Furnishing Number required.If qualifying as a Physician Assistant, the following is requiredPA - State of California Physician Assistant License requiredDEA - DEA Controlled Substance Number requiredBLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) requiredAbility to participate in a federally funded program (Medicare and Medicaid) requiredNPC - National Certified Nurse Practitioner by ANCC (American Nurses Credentialing Center) or AANP (American Academy of Nurse Practitioners)
