Responsibilities

We have an exciting full-time opportunity for a talented and caring Advanced Practice Provider to join a dedicated multidisciplinary group. The successful candidate will serve a vital function in the Department of Psychiatry & Psychology at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire WI, providing outpatient care and consultations to our patients. Position would be outpatient clinic with some hospital coverage and outreach clinic coverage would be expected.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate interest and comfort in working with patients with Psychiatric illness.  We expect this candidate to have an interest to learn/ be comfortable with psychiatric conditions and their management.

The scope of work will involve working as an integral team member of a multidisciplinary team.



Qualifications

Nurse Practitioner: Masters-prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current WI RN and APRN license and certification as a PMHNP.  

Physician Assistant: Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the WI State Board of Medical Practice. 

Current BLS certification required.

Additional Qualifications:

Excellent verbal, written, and oral communication skills. Demonstrated leadership ability. Flexibility to adjust schedule to meet patient and staff needs. Ability to manage time and stress effectively and adapt to unpredictable situations within the patient care setting.

Weekend Schedule

The NP or PA will also share in the call rotation with the Psychiatrists. Call is currently done over the phone and the call expectations are typically 2-3 shifts per month.
