The Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism at UMass Memorial Medical Center is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join our growing team. We welcome both experienced providers and new graduates to apply.

UMass Memorial Health is the health and wellness partner of the people of Central Massachusetts and is the largest health care system in Central Massachusetts. UMass Memorial Center is a tertiary-care teaching hospital with programs in all aspects of Endocrinology and Diabetology. Join a well-established and collegial team of 23 Faculty Members, 16 Advanced Practice Providers, 5 Fellows and 6 Certified Diabetes Care and Educational Specialists.

This position will be full-time, 40 hours per week (8 hours/day shift/1 weekend per month).

Major Responsibilities:

Performs and documents a complete history and physical examination, including review of the available medical record, to formulate diagnoses and treatment plan.

Orders and reviews appropriate laboratory tests and imaging studies.

Participates in daily inpatient rounds, interviews and examines patients, reviews laboratory data and other clinical studies, and records daily progress notes.

Requests consultations and communicates with consultants.

Performs routine bedside or clinical procedures, as described in the Delineation of Privileges.

Position Qualifications:
Required:

Masters or doctoral degree.

Graduate of approved Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program with certification.

Current Massachusetts license.
