Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant - Surgical Weight Loss

Job Summary

Under the general supervision of the Chief Advanced Practice Provider and Medical Director of the Center for Weight Loss program, the Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant performs duties to assist supervising physicians in a wide range of clinical tasks. Responsible for managing routine and urgent outpatient duties, while adhering to standard practices and established procedures. The provider will be responsible for developing care plans and seeing patients independently in the clinic as well as working in direct collaboration with the physicians.

Minimum Qualifications

Education Completion of a Masters’ Degree in Nursing and an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program required. Experience Previous experience in a surgical or medical weight loss program strongly preferred. Licensure and/or Certification Current license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Massachusetts required. National certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant required (this is required for Massachusetts licensure). (ARNP) or (PA-C) BLS healthcare provider required. Skills Excellent customer service skills. Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English. Computer skills required. Ability to maintain confidential information.
