Minimum Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited program of advanced practice nursing5 years of related experienceAdvanced knowledge and skills in the delivery of nursing services and in specialty area(s)

Licensure, Registration, Certification

BLSCurrent Alabama RN license; CRNP credentialed by the Alabama Board of Nursing and collaboration with physician approved by the Alabama Board of Medical Examiners

Certification in Specialty Area:

For Neonatal, must have Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Certification (NNP) through National Certification Corporation (NCC) and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program

 

Responsibilities

In collaboration with a Physician, assumes total patient care for designated patients in a specialty setting. Plans, implements, coordinates, and evaluates comprehensive care to ensure quality and continuity of care delivery.
