Nurse Practitioner- Urgent Care Washington Township

Position Summary

The Nurse Practitioner will provide comprehensive healthcare services to patients seeking urgent medical attention as well as occupational health services.This role involves assessing, diagnosing, and treating a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries. 

Our urgent care centers are open 7 days a week. The Nurse Practitioner will work three 12-hour shifts a week from 8am-8pm. 

Position Responsibilities

Includes but is not limited to:

- Conduct thorough physical examinations and obtain medical histories

- Perform DOT physicals

- Diagnose and treat acute illnesses and injuries

- Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as X-rays, lab work, and EKGs

- Develop and implement treatment plans, including prescribing medications and therapies

- Provide patient education on health maintenance and disease prevention

- Perform minor procedures, such as suturing, splinting, and wound care

- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care

- Maintain accurate and timely patient records using electronic health record (EHR) systems

- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development

Position Experience Required

-Minimum of 2 years of experience in urgent care or ER preferred

-Strong clinical skills and the ability to work independently

Position Qualifications

- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program

- Current Nurse Practitioner license in NJ

- Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) 

- Active NJ CDS and DEA license

- BLS certification

- Obtain National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners certification within 6 months of accepting the job
