Nurse Recruiter
Position Summary Under limited supervision, plans and leads innovative recruitment efforts for all levels of open positions within assigned areas. Proactively identifies and cultivates viable recruitment sources to assure adequate supply of qualified applicants. Assesses the length of time that all Med Center Health positions remain open and the effectiveness of selection decisions and works with recruitment team to identify and implements strategies for improvement. Provides guidance and direction to the Recruitment Specialists and Recruitment Consultants and serves as a program owner for a significant recruitment program or project that has organizational application and/or organizational exposure. Minimum Qualifications Work Experience Three years of professional level recruitment/selection experience with substantial experience/responsibility in developing and implementing creative recruitment techniques and approaches.
Education Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Economics, Social Sciences or related field required. Master's degree preferred.
Certifications/Licensure Human Resources professional certification required.  Job Specific Performance Standards The duties listed below are a summary of the major essential functions of this position.   In a lead capacity, serves as a proactive recruitment partner and advisor to department leaders in and to the recruitment team in carrying out Med Center Health recruitment and employment programs, policies and practices.  Develops programs to assure selected candidates possess the skills, knowledge and behaviors necessary to the success of Med Center Health. Within broad guidelines, applies advanced recruitment/selection technique and leads recruitment efforts for various levels of positions within assigned departments to assure appropriate selection of Med Center Health employees, adherence to Med Center Health employment policies and practices and to legal regulations and laws such as non-discrimination, equal employment opportunity, A.D.A., FMLA and others. Identifies and cultivates viable recruitment sources.  attends college career fairs, designs in-house recruitment events and prepares recruitment marketing campaigns.  Identifies sound, innovative recruitment programs to assure adequate supply of qualified applicants to Med Center Health departments and facilities.  Implements sound selection technique to identify individuals best suited to the overall job requirements, to the department and to Med Center Health.  Coaches selecting managers in interview and selection technique. Leads the recruitment team in managing the overall employment/selection process for open positions to minimize the length of time that a position remains vacant.  Maintains recruitment effectiveness statistics and prepares report for the Manager, Talent Acquisition. Serves as both an expert to the Human Resources Department and to organization in the interpretation, implementation and application of effective candidate sourcing, interviewing and selection technique.   Insures consistent application of policies and procedures.  Consults with Human Resources subject experts and other team members on highly complex or controversial issues.  Consults regularly with recruitment team members to assure organization consistency. Under guidance of compensation team, calculates entry, transfer and promotional pay rates in accordance with Med Center Health policies and practices.  Solicits and communicates compensation related issues related to effective recruitment and retention efforts.  Develops and carries out supervisory/management training sessions and programs related to Human Resources issues, programs and practices in functional area of accountability. May conduct exit interviews and provide guidance to separating employees.  Assesses turnover issues and identifies opportunities for improvement.     Conducts continual analysis of areas of responsibility effectiveness.  Develops recommendations for enhancements and/or improvements and implements new or changed programs, procedures or processes. Serves as the program owner of a large organization level HR program or project.  Working independently is responsible for the ongoing planning, evaluation and implementation of the program.  Prepares organizational and employee announcements and other communication as necessary.   Organizes project teams as needed in the ongoing management, evaluation and revision to the program/project so that it continues to meet the changing needs of the organization.
