The Site Clinical Coordinator (SCC) collaborates with the Nurse Residency Program Director, facility CNO/designee, market and Division leaders, and CommonSpirit Health National Nurse Residency Program Leadership to provide site-level leadership, coordination, oversight, development, evaluation and continuous program improvement for the nurse residency program and its outcomes. The site coordinator provides support and collaborative oversight representing the nurse residency program at the facility. The site coordinator, in partnership with clinical education, is responsible for maintaining standardization of the nurse residency program, achievement and maintenance of residency program accreditation, and ensures nurse residents are supported in their transition to practice, satisfied, and retained.

1. In collaboration with the Nurse Residency Supervisor, maintains program standards, structure, curriculum, policy and processes that support resident progression, program sustainability and nurse retention.
2. In collaboration with the Nurse Residency Supervisor, responsible for the planning, implementation, evaluation, and revision of program standards, structure, curriculum, policy and processes for the program
3. Facilitates Nurse Residency Program classes as outlined by the Nurse Residency Supervisor and Clinical Nurse Educators.
4. Implements standards for measurable, realistic program outcomes with timelines and accountabilities for the Nurse Residency Program.
5. Partners with site leadership to ensure processes and structures are deployed consistently to guarantee expectations for performance are established and accountability is maintained.
6. Develops and supports site faculty, subject matter experts, residents and local leadership.
7. Ensures principles of CommonSpirit Health’s mission, nursing vision, values, DEIB, PEX, and professional development are delivered within the Nurse Residency Program.
8. Ensures that ongoing assessments of resident and preceptor’s knowledge, skills, and practice gaps are performed.
9. Ensures a consistent, principle-driven brand for the Nurse Residency Program at the site level.
10. Transfers acquired knowledge to site leaders and supports the achievement of Nurse Residency Program outcomes.
11. Supports the organizational strategic vision for National Nurse Residency.
12. Collaborates with the Nurse Residency Supervisor and other system nurse residency leaders to align the program to clinical education and professional development initiatives, advanced practice fellowships, and other system initiatives.
13. Champion high quality nursing practice and promote interprofessional collaboration.
14. Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing,
Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in the acute care setting
Current license as RN in Nebraska, Iowa or multi-state compact license.
Basic Life Support (BLS or BLS instructor) is required upon hire.
Acceptable credentialing bodies and certifications include the following:
American Heart Association: Basic Life Support.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
